2024/2025
After relocating from Littleton, Colorado to Amelia Island, I connected with a small business seeking graphic design support for their Pickleball Club. Following discussions with the owner, Shelly, I was brought on as the designer for their marketing materials. This opportunity has been both rewarding and enjoyable, allowing me to contribute to meaningful projects while expanding my portfolio.
Festive Changes
Although I was not part of the original team that created the official NPB365 logo, I was invited to design holiday-themed variations. Collaborating closely with Shelly, we developed concepts that were fun, bright, and attention-grabbing, while ensuring the logo represented the pickleball facility.
Having Fun with It
Many of these designs are tied to specific events. For December, the logo was created for the “Dink’l Bells” holiday event. Refreshing and enhancing these logos helps maintain member engagement by providing fresh visuals that draw attention to our event promotions.
Event Posters
NPB365 frequently hosts events aimed at attracting new players to the courts, and effective marketing is key to their success. Once I receive the event details and a basic concept, I take the lead in designing promotional materials. By understanding both Shelly’s vision and what appeals to players—who ultimately just want to have fun—I create visuals that engage and motivate participation.
Events on the schedule are typically assigned a specific color, and it is important to Shelly that this color is prominently featured on the corresponding poster. Additionally, she has requested that each poster maintain a consistent layout within the designated blue box area. From there, I am responsible for creating designs that are engaging, informative, and visually appealing.
